IT Applications Manager

As our IT Applications Manager, you’ll shape and elevate the systems that power ZIWI’s global operations. You’ll lead our Applications Consulting team and own the performance, reliability, and user experience of core business applications including Abel ERP, CRM, EDI, Data Warehouse (SQL/Power BI), and key integrations.
This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on architecture, governance, and continuous improvement. You will influence decision-making at every level of the business and directly support our growth across APAC, USA, Europe, and beyond.
This is a permanent full time role based in Napier, Hawkes Bay. If you're out of the region, we can support your move with a relocation package.

Key responsibilities
Lead governance, architecture, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications
Act as product owner for Abel ERP and connected systems
Drive data governance, reporting, and BI development
Oversee integrations, API performance, and EDI partner relationships
Manage L2/L3 application support, change control, and case management
Develop and maintain key artefacts such as registers, diagrams, and dashboards
Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing Application Consulting team
Collaborate across Operations, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, HR, and global sites
Key requirements
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
5+ years in application or ERP management, with 3+ years in a leadership role
Experience with business applications, data warehousing, APIs, and integrations
Strong governance, documentation, and vendor-management skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
(Master’s/MBA, data-governance experience, and automation/AI exposure are a plus.)
