About the Role
This is a full-time on-site role for a Supply Chain Specialist located in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area with weekly WFH opportunities. ZIWI Pet Food is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to coordinate inventory movements, maintain inventory reporting, reducing excess stock, and manage co-packers. The ideal candidate will bring a very high level of organization, good judgment, analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for operational excellence in the premium pet food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
Maintain consistent inventory visibility, including inbounds, transfers, and potential gaps in healthy supply.
Maintain optimal inventory levels and metrics (aging product, damages, etc) across all 3PL distribution centers to meet service level targets.
Conduct inventory reconciliation on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
Support Strategic planner by executing on safety stock strategies.
Collaborate with Ops Support Specialist on supporting new innovation and distribution.
Investigate and track warehouse non-compliance.
Supply Coordination
Track inbound shipments from manufacturing sites.
Manage co-packer production and ensure timely availability of packaging and components.
Work closely with Production, Packaging, and Quality teams to align pack configurations and timelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field; APICS certification a plus.
3-5 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain, or operations coordination.
Strong proficiency in ERP systems, and Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience in food, CPG, or pet industry preferred.
