About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our North American Finance team based in Overland Park, Kansas. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, managing accounts payable and receivable processes, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
This role offers exposure across multiple areas of accounting and finance and provides the opportunity to work closely with teams across the United States and New Zealand.
What You'll Be Doing
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, payments, deposits, and reconciliations.
Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes.
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with financial reporting, tax compliance activities, and audit requirements.
Administer employee expense reporting through Concur.
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and approved.
Prepare financial analysis, management reporting, and ad hoc reporting to support business decisions.
Support process improvement initiatives and help strengthen financial controls and efficiencies.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with a proactive, collaborative approach.
You will bring:
3–5 years' experience in an accounting or finance role.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting activities.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
