Supply Chain Analyst
ZIWI Limited is recognised as a leading pet nutrition company and is setting the standard globally using only NZ locally sourced natural and free-range ingredients. We have a passionate and dedicated team who are incredibly proud of the products we make and love sharing them globally.
We are seeking an analytically minded Supply Chain Analyst to play a central role in our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interpreting complex datasets, diagnosing variances, building insight-driven recommendations, and improving the rigour of end-to-end planning.
You will consolidate global market demand, manage forecast changes within planning time fences, and support the execution of constrained demand plans. You will act as a key conduit between Supply Planners and Market S&OP teams—monitoring deviations, analysing impacts, guiding allocation decisions, and ensuring that all planning data is accurate, timely, and fully aligned across the business.
Your analytical strength will be critical in producing core reports (SHIFOT, Sales Plan Performance, Order Book, Goods in Transit, OOS, SLOB, and more), identifying trends and root causes, and driving continuous improvement in tools, processes, and forecasting accuracy.
Key responsibilities:
Demand Execution
- Consolidate all global demand and replenishment forecasts and upload into ERP/S&OP planning tools. (We use ABEL)
- Analyse demand patterns and identify abnormalities or deviations month-to-month.
- Collaborate with Market Supply Chain, Export, and Supply Planning teams to support order promising and availability decisions.
- Ensure the approved S&OP plan flows accurately through all relevant ERP tools and systems.
2. S&OP Process Facilitation
- Support the successful delivery of weekly and monthly S&OP forums through accurate data preparation and insight generation.
- Lead weekly planning sessions with markets, ensuring strong feedback loops and clarity on risks, opportunities, and changes.
3. Reporting & Analytics
- Deliver all agreed weekly and monthly reports on time, including SHIFOT, Sales Plan Performance, Order Book, Goods in Transit, replenishment changes, OOS, and SLOB.
- Provide clear commentary, insights, and proactive exception alerts (e.g., significant OOS risks, major replenishment changes, expiring stock).
4. S&OP Planning Support
- Provide coverage for central supply planning tasks including replenishment planning, inventory control, production consumption, and order management.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, category, finance, production, and supply planning to ensure demand forecasts align with business plans and promotional activity.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or similar.
- Proven experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations—preferably in consumer goods or pet food.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP planning systems
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights
