As our new Vendor Assurance Officer, you’ll be right at the heart of ZIWI’s quality team — making sure our suppliers, manufacturers, and partners live up to the same high standards we set for ourselves.

You’ll act as the go-to person for vendor related food safety and quality matters — coordinating and participating in audits, reviewing raw material specs, and helping us manage everything from product supplier risk profiles to leading root cause analysis for non-conformances. You’ll help ensure all vendors are approved and corrective actions (when needed) are properly tracked and resolved.

You will contribute to our food safety and compliance reporting, work cross-functionally with our internal teams, and bring your ideas to the table for continuous improvement — because we’re always looking for smarter, more efficient ways of doing things.

This is a permanent, full time position working Monday to Friday, based in Awatoto, Napier.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/Technology, Animal Nutrition, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience in food safety, quality assurance, or vendor compliance.
• Are confident with audits, risk assessments, and solving tricky supply chain challenges.
• Love digging into the details but also know how to communicate clearly and build strong relationships (internally and externally).
• Experience in HACCP, internal and external auditing, supplier QA, or continuous improvement projects would be an advantage.
