National Account Manager

As we continue to grow and innovate, we’ve created a new Key Account Manager role based in Sydney, to work closely with the Auckland based Growth and Strategy team.
As the Australian National Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strategic relationships with ZIWI’s key accounts (Petbarn, Petstock and Pet Circle) and distributors within the Australia market.
The role requires a blend of strategic partnership experience and hands-on account management to deliver on our sales and growth targets as we reset our ambition for ZIWI in Australia. As such, you will be a results driven high achiever with exceptional budget management and understanding of ROI. In addition, you will have demonstrated success in leading complex negotiations with both direct and indirect customers to mutually beneficial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tailored account strategies for key accounts and distributors to achieve ZIWI’s sales and growth targets.
- Collaborate with accounts on joint business planning, promotional activities, and product portfolio optimization.
- Drive direct sales growth by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Work with distributors to set annual sales targets, performance metrics, and promotional plans and monitor performance against these plans.
- Oversee contracts, trade terms, and agreements for both direct and indirect sales channels.
- Prepare detailed reports on account performance, including KPIs, sales trends, and profitability analysis.
Key Requirements
- A tertiary degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or relevant discipline
- Extensive experience in managing key accounts and / or distributor relationships ideally in the pet food industry
- Creative to work on tactical campaigns, while maintaining long term strategic vision
- Demonstrated ability to influence and gain support for new ideas and concepts
- Frequent national and international travel will be an ongoing expectation for this role.
